The Advanced Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park Astrophotography Workshop is for photographers who have been taking photographs of the night sky for more than a year, and have progressed passed conventional single exposures and median stacking and want to create ephemeral images that capture the beauty under our feet and above our heads every night. If you want to learn to combine your night photography with an emphasis on creating the absolute best landscapes with starry night skies, then this is the workshop you CAN’T MISS!

Iconic landmarks and the natural landscapes that Yellowstone and Grand Teton convey offer a sense of awe and majesty that go beyond what you can ever experience in a photograph. We still want our images to show what we felt, breathed, and saw on these beautiful trips when we explore our natural world. Yellowstone National Park and the iconic Grand Teton National Park are incredible areas to learn advanced techniques to create invaluable and unique imagery. We will combine day and night imagery into one photograph to pull together the best elements of both. Learn the quickest and easiest way to create “deep focus” in our nightcap images so the closest flowers to the furthest stars are all in focus. We will expand on long exposure imagery with the advantages of panoramic imaging that will help you create dramatic landscapes others cannot comprehend. You will learn to not only see light but to plan for it so you are prepared to create epic imagery on your own the next time you are experiencing the magic of our national parks.

Included:

  • FULLY INCLUSIVE WORKSHOP: Hotel stay (double occupancy accommodation), breakfast, lunch, and dinner is provided during the workshop. If you prefer a single accommodation, just ask.

Optional Wind River Mountains Micro-Workshop

Limited to Five (5) Attendees

Bridger-Teton and the Wind River Mountains are the sister mountain range to the Tetons just east of Grand Teton National Park. Occupying some of the most reclusive and crystal clear mountain lakes in Wyoming, we will traverse the area from Pinedale to experience an incredible micro workshop in a remote area that few people have experienced or seen!

This workshop is for those who have signed up for Session #1 or Session #2 and adds an additional night of instruction to the end of the workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity to photograph Square Top Mountain and the Green River Lakes area of the Winds while in a small, like minded group, of new friends and put to work your new skills from the previous three nights of instruction. The Green River Lakes provide a pristine surface for reflected Milky Way imagery that captures some of the tallest mountain peaks in Wyoming. It's an amazing and unique area that offers an opportunity that few workshops ever go to!
